By registering for, accessing, or completing this online cultural awareness training, participants agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions.

2. Cultural Authority and Intellectual Property

All training materials, including videos, written content, images, videos, and cultural knowledge, are the intellectual and cultural property of Marlinyu Ghoorlie Aboriginal Corporation and the relevant Traditional Owners.

Participants must not:

  • Copy, reproduce, distribute, or publish any training content;
  • Share token access or training materials with others;
  • Use content for commercial, training, or organisational purposes without prior written consent.

3. Permitted Use

Access to the training is:

  • Provided for individual learning purposes only;
  • Limited to the registered participant or authorised organisation;
  • Time-limited where applicable (as specified at purchase or enrolment).

4. Cultural Protocols and Respectful Behaviour (Online)

Participants agree to engage respectfully with all training content and materials, including:

  • Using respectful language when referring to Aboriginal people, culture, and history;
  • Respecting that some content may be sensitive or confronting;
  • Following all platform instructions and guidance provided.

Marlinyu Ghoorlie Aboriginal Corporation reserves the right to suspend or revoke access, without refund, where behaviour is considered inappropriate, disrespectful, or culturally unsafe.

5. No Recording or Distribution

Participants must not:

  • Record, download, screenshot, or capture training content;
  • Share or distribute materials in any format.

6. Training Scope and Disclaimer

This training provides general cultural awareness information and does not:

  • Represent all Aboriginal groups, perspectives, or cultural protocols;
  • Replace the need for local Traditional Owner engagement or consultation.

Organisations and companies remain responsible for seeking appropriate local cultural advice where required.

7. Participant Responsibility and Wellbeing

Participants acknowledge that training may include discussion of:

  • Historical events,
  • Cultural impacts,
  • Trauma
  • Experiences of dispossession and discrimination.

Participants are responsible for their own wellbeing and may pause or discontinue training if required.

8. Access and Technical Requirements

Participants are responsible for:

  • Ensuring access to appropriate technology, internet connection, and software;
  • Maintaining the security of their login credentials.

Marlinyu Ghoorlie Aboriginal Corporation is not liable for access issues arising from participant systems or connectivity.

9. Payment Terms

  • Payment must be made in full prior to access being granted

10. Cancellations and Refunds

  • Once access to online training has been provided, refunds are not available;
  • Exceptions may be considered at the sole discretion of Marlinyu Ghoorlie Aboriginal Corporation.

11. Certificates of Completion

Where applicable:

  • Certificates are issued upon completion of training requirements;
  • Certificates confirm participation only and do not constitute accreditation or cultural competency certification.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Marlinyu Ghoorlie Aboriginal Corporation is not liable for:

  • Any loss, damage, or organisational outcomes resulting from use of the training;
  • Decisions or actions taken by participants or organisations following completion.

13. Community Benefit

Participants acknowledge that revenue generated from this training supports:

  • Aboriginal community initiatives,
  • Employment and capacity building,
  • Cultural knowledge preservation.

14. Amendments

Marlinyu Ghoorlie Aboriginal Corporation reserves the right to update these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of the training constitutes acceptance of any updated terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Western Australia.
